The Kaust Gardening Club consists of several community members that aim to promote the love of gardening, floral design and environmental responsibility.
The team members embrace the benefits of gardening through the connection with nature, the hands on exercise, the aesthetic results, but also exchange their knowledge over challenges and success stories.
If you enjoy gardening or decorating your balcony with beautiful plants, if you are curious about the types of plants that do (and don’t!) grow well in the desert environment, if you have already a green thumb or are just getting into gardening, the KAUST Gardening Society will be happy to join them.
Membership is free and it’s a great way to meet other nature-lovers.
Monthly meetings are held in the Kaust Children’s Center. (Google maps link here.) The meeting is usually held on the fourth Tuesday of the month, from 7-8:30 p.m. They also offer special field trips during the cooler months to nearby oases and plant nurseries. The club takes a break in July and August.
