KAUST’s First Aid Training Program is designed to enhance emergency preparedness across the community through a flexible, high-quality blended learning approach. Aligned with international best practices and the mission of Keeping KAUST Safe, the program enables participants to build essential life-saving knowledge through external accredited First Aid providers while reinforcing practical skills on campus with an evaluation by qualified HSE staff.
KAUST HSE supports a range of first aid training pathways that begin with externally delivered theory courses from recognized organizations such as the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, American Red Cross, and National Safety Council. These courses cover core competencies including basic first aid, CPR, and AED use, ensuring participants gain standardized, globally aligned knowledge through accessible, self-paced learning options. To complement this, KAUST offers optional in-person practical sessions led by qualified HSE trainers at Safaa Stadium.
Participants who complete the practicum receive a KAUST-issued certificate valid for three years, helping maintain a capable and confident first aid response network across all KAUST environments.
The theoretical portion of the training will now be completed through an approved external provider. You may choose any recognized accredited organization: Examples of high-quality accredited training programs that meet International First Aid Standards include:
