Overview

First Aid training is available for all KAUST users in the greater KAUST community and all service providers, vendors, and contractors. Trained and certified HSE trainers administer and deliver First Aid training.

Classroom-based training meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in organizations that have identified staff that require training to levels that depend on the risk of the workplace and the number of employees. In addition, our courses are suitable for persons with no previous qualification or experience in First Aid.

Our Level 3 (1-day course) and Level 3 (3-day class) are taught by qualified, experienced professional trainers within HSE to offer the practical application of key skills such as how to perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation CPR and the use of an AED, in the event of a medical emergency.

KAUST-Specific First Aid

The courses also cover KAUST-specific elements, such as emergency numbers and procedures. Below are the course options we provide:

  • Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work and use of an AED (1 Day course)
  • Level 3 First Aid at Work and use of an AED (3 Day course- Advanced)

The need for an AED at your workplace should be assessed based on the various occupational factors that can influence the likelihood of a person sustaining a cardiac arrest. Please visit the AED Risk Assessment guide under the Resources section below.
